A Guide To: Polyester

Polyester is a man-made material that is derived from coal, water, air and ethylene.

It first became recognised around the mid 1900s. Since then it has found it's way into almost every household and grows more popular as time goes on.

Polyester is spun and woven in a very similar process to cotton. Known for it's smooth and slightly shiny finish, it has fast become the primary fabric for sportswear and accessories as it is very easy to clean and maintain.

Poly/Cotton

Poly/Cotton is exactly what It sounds like!

A blend of both polyester and cotton woven together to gain effective properties from both textiles. Doing this comes with some huge benefits! You get the amazing quality and the soft feel of the cotton, as well as the durability and lighter weight from the polyester.

  • 50% Cotton/50% Polyester
  • 65% Cotton/35% Polyester
  • 80% Cotton/35% Polyester
